Ian Lara Takes it to the Next Level With Late Night Debut

Updated: Nov 20, 2019

There's a certain thrill in seeing a performer you admire hit a major milestone in their career, and this week we can thank comic, Ian Lara, for providing such a feeling as he made his late night television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The taping took place on Thursday afternoon, after which, much later that evening, Ian joined a crowd of eager friends, fans, and fellow comedians at The Stand Comedy Club & Restaurant to view the broadcast. Gathered together watching Jimmy Fallon on a large screen surrounded by well-wishers and the featured comedian himself, the energy was a heady mix of excitement and pride and was easily the best way I've enjoyed a late night talk show in recent memory. Amidst cheers and assorted whoops of delight, the crowd at The Stand enjoyed Ian's set in the best possible fashion after being part of the live studio audience.

Ian’s set was a truly dynamic selection of his material, and if the up and coming comic had any nerves as he showcased his talents to the late night world, they were undetectable beneath his smooth veneer and bright smile. The jokes landed well in both the TV and real-life crowd, with some clever commentary on the perils of modern dating.

All in all, it has been an exciting week for Ian Lara and his fans, not only watching him work on The Tonight Show, but watching him watch himself on such an important occasion, and the feeling of anticipation for all the opportunities that such a momentous night can bring. Many congratulations to Ian Lara, whose next television performance is eagerly anticipated.
